Sunflower Competition – Only a few weeks to go until it finishes

It is almost time to judge the Sunflower Competition and hand out the prizes to the winners. Will you be one of them? How are your sunflowers growing? Spectacular sunflowers are appearing in many gardens at the moment. The glorious sunshine that we are enjoying is ideal for them. Just remember to water them regularly. Have you checked your plants recently to see if they are worthy winners or have you forgotten about the Acquire Care Sunflower Competition?

There’s still time to enter especially if your sunflowers have large heads  –  the winner is the one with the largest head not the tallest.

There are two age categories – adults (over the age of 16 years) and children (16 and under). To enter the competition, it’s easy. Just follow the instructions below or on page 2 of this pdf: AcquireCareSunflowerCompetition.

The Prizes

• 1st adult prize: £100 Amazon gift voucher.
• 1st children’s prize: £100 Amazon gift voucher.

The Rules

• The winners will be chosen after the competition closes at midnight on Monday August 31st 2020. All entries must be received by then.
• There are two prizes (one for each age group). Size will be determined by the sunflower head, not the height.
• The two largest sunflower heads will be chosen based on the photos submitted proving their size. The judge’s decision is final. All photographs must include either a tape measure or ruler showing how large the sunflower head is.
• There is no cash alternative, the prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted by the winner.
• If you are not the sunflower grower and the photo you submit is not your photo, we reserve the right to disqualify you – only your own picture of your own flower please!

Please be assured that by entering the competition, we will not use your email address for any other reason than the Sunflower Competition. No other message or information, which is not related to the competition, will be sent to you.

To enter the competition, it’s easy!

You have until Monday August 31st 2020 to grow and measure your sunflower. Email a picture to us at info@acquirecare.co.uk with a picture of your flower head and proof of its size – use a tape measure or ruler to show the width of the flower head, not including the petals. With your picture let us know whether you are entering the adult or child category.
